Justices of the Peace preside over Traffic Safety Court in several communities.
Matters heard in this court are mainly traffic offences, which include speeding and other moving (and non-moving) violations. Offences relating to other provincial statutes, including liquor and wildlife violations, are also dealt with. Traffic Safety Court does not handle parking tickets.
Assiniboia Traffic Safety Court
NOTE: Effective January 2023, the Justice of the Peace Traffic Safety Court sitting will end. Traffic matters will be heard by a Provincial Court judge on the second Thursday of each month.
