The Honourable Heather MacMillan-Brown and the Honourable Meghan McCreary have been appointed judges of the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan. Madam Justice MacMillan-Brown was a partner with Miller Thomson in Saskatoon at the time of her appointment. She earned a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996, and clerked for Chief Justice D.K. MacPherson of the Court of Queen’s Bench. She was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2012. Justice MacMillan-Brown has been appointed to Saskatoon and replaces Madam Justice M.L. Dovell, who elected supernumerary status on Dec. 31, 2016.
The Honourable Meghan McCreary, a partner at MLT Aikins LLP in Regina, earned a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1998. Madam Justice McCreary clerked for the Chief Justice of Saskatchewan and was called to the bars in both Saskatchewan and British Columbia. She was appointed Queen’s Counsel for Saskatchewan in 2017. Justice McCreary has been appointed to Regina and replaces Mr. Justice R.W. Elson, whom the Chief Justice transferred to Saskatoon to fill a vacancy created when Mr. Justice M. Acton elected supernumerary status on Dec. 1, 2017.
