The Honourable Shannon Metivier has been appointed a judge of the Provincial Court for Saskatoon. Judge Metivier has spent her career with McKercher LLP, becoming a partner in 2003. She has practiced extensively in the area of civil litigation and has a wealth of trial experience, appearing before all three levels of court in the province.
Judge Metivier graduated from the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Law in 1992 and was called to the Bar in 1993. She has served on a variety of boards in the community and is a mentor to law students through the Canadian Bar Association’s mentorship program. Judge Metivier will replace Judge Bria Huculuk, who is retiring from the Court.
