The Honourable Melanie Baldwin and the Honourable Cara Haaf have been appointed to the Family Law Division of the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan. At the time of her appointment, Justice Baldwin was the Registrar and Executive Legal Officer of the Court of Appeal, having previously held the same role in the Court of Queen’s Bench. She replaces Justice Jerome Tholl, who was appointed to the Court of Appeal, on the Regina Bench. Justice Haaf was a partner at Scharfstein Gibbings Walen Fisher LLP in Saskatoon. She has appeared at all levels of court, practicing mostly in the area of family law. She replaces Justice Geoff Dufour in Saskatoon.
