The Honourable Sanjeev Anand has been appointed a judge of the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. Judge Anand was most recently the Dean of the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan. He received his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in 1993 and later completed a Master of Laws and a PhD in Law, as well. Judge Anand began his career in Legal Aid, and has worked as a Crown Prosecutor in Edmonton and as counsel in the Criminal Appeals Division for Alberta Justice. He taught law at both the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Alberta. Judge Anand replaces Judge Sheila Whelan, who retired in September.
