The Honourable Jeffery D. Kalmakoff has been appointed to the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan. Justice Kalmakoff was previously appointed a judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan in 2015 and, before that, a judge of the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan in 2009. He has a strong criminal law background, having served as a Senior Crown Prosecutor with the Ministry of Justice before his appointment to the Bench. He fills the vacancy created on the Court of Appeal when Justice Peter Whitmore elected supernumerary status in April 2019.
