Four new judges have been appointed to the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan. The Honourable Kim Armstrong K.C. is appointed to Meadow Lake; the Honourable David Chow, K.C. is appointed to Moose Jaw; the Honourable Jennifer Claxton-Viczko is appointed to Melfort; and the Honourable Darren Howarth is appointed to Saskatoon.
Judge Armstrong, most recently the Acting Legal Director for the Saskatoon Legal Aid Office, received her law degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 2000, as did Judge Chow. Most recently a senior partner with Chow McLeod, Barristers and Solicitors, Judge Chow is also the current Chair of the Law Foundation of Saskatchewan.
Judge Claxton-Viczko completed her law degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 2001, and was a Senior Crown Prosecutor in Saskatoon at the time of her appointment. Judge Howarth earned his Bachelor of Laws with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2005. He was an Associate Regional Crown prosecutor in Saskatoon at the time of his appointment.
