The Honourable R.D. Laing, Chief Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Saskatchewan, is pleased to announce the appointment of Elaine Thompson as Registrar in Bankruptcy, effective October 15, 2011.
Ms. Thompson received a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 2001 and was admitted to the Bar in Saskatchewan in 2002. Previously, Ms. Thompson practiced law with Kanuka Thuringer LLP and acted as legal counsel for CUETS. As well, she has acted as ombudsman for the credit union system in Saskatchewan. In her current role with the Saskatchewan Financial Services Commission, Ms. Thompson hears and writes appeals from disciplinary hearings.
