The Provincial Court of Saskatchewan encourages residents to be aware of a text message ticket scam circulating in Saskatchewan.

The Regina Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service have each issued public warnings about the scam.

The text message is claiming to be from a police officer, and tells the recipient of the text that they have a Provincial Court traffic violation and must appear in court. It then asks people to click a link to pay a fine. These messages often create urgency and pressure recipients into acting quickly.

This is a scam.
