The Provincial Court of Saskatchewan is receiving public inquiries about applications for warrants under The Compassionate Intervention Act.
Under the legislation, the Minister may, by order, designate an area or areas in Saskatchewan to which the Act applies. At this time, no such designation is in effect for the Provincial Court to receive applications. Accordingly, the Provincial Court will not currently accept or process any applications under the Act.
A pilot program is expected to begin in the Fall 2026 in North Battleford, subject to ministerial designation. Further information about the application procedures will be provided once the Act becomes operational.
