The Provincial Court of Saskatchewan has launched a new website page to make court data accessible to the public.
The Provincial Court Data Dashboard includes data relating to criminal offences under the Criminal Code of Canada, provincial offences under provincial acts such as The Traffic Safety Act, The Wildlife Act, The Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act, etc and information on the number of court appearances in Provincial Court courthouses and circuit point locations across the province.
The Data Dashboard is intended to present a snapshot of the administration of justice through the lens of the Provincial Court. Providing transparent and timely data to the public is an additional commitment to the open court principle. It is intended to increase access to justice and promote public understanding of the Provincial Court.
The online data will be updated monthly, with new information made available by the first week of each month.
