The Honourable Derek Maher has been appointed to Provincial Court in Yorkton. Judge Maher received his law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996 and was called to the Bar in 1997. He went on to obtain his designation as a Chartered Accountant in 2000. Judge Maher’s background has included time in private practice and eight years as a Crown Prosecutor. Most recently, he was counsel in the Securities Division of the Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan. He is active in his professional communities and sits on the University of Regina’s Senate.
