The Honourable Inez J. Cardinal, Q.C., has been appointed a judge of the Provincial Court in Melfort. She will sit temporarily in Meadow Lake until November 2012, when she will sit permanently in Melfort, replacing the Honourable Lorna Dyck, who will be transferring to the Provincial Court in North Battleford. Judge Cardinal has worked for Public Prosecutions with the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General since 1991, working out of the Saskatoon and La Ronge offices. Judge Cardinal has been a sessional lecturer at the Northern Campus of the First Nations University of Canada in Prince Albert, and an active member of the Saskatchewan Branch of the Canadian Bar Association.
