The Honourable Lloyd Stang has been appointed a judge of the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan in Melfort. Judge Stang received a law degree from the Universite de Moncton in 1992. He worked in private practice in the Northwest Territories for five years before joining Public Prosecutions in Meadow Lake in 1998.
He spent 18 months as a trial lawyer with the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Crimincal Court in The Hague, Netherlands, in 2013-14 before returning to Saskatchewan Public Prosecutions. Judge Stang replaces Judge J.F. Rybchuk, who transferred to Provincial Court in Regina.
