The Honourable Krista L. Zerr has been appointed a judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan. Madam Justice Zerr was a Regional Crown Prosecutor in Saskatoon at the time of her appointment. She earned a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992, and joined the Public Prosecutions Division of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice two years later.
She received the Premier’s Award for Excellence in the Public Service in 2015 for her contributions to the Serious Violent Offender Response project. Madam Justice Zerr replaces Mr. Justice R.S. Smith, who elected supernumerary status on Dec. 31, 2017.
