Chief Judge Shannon Metivier today announced that effective Sept. 1, 2021, Lloydminster will be converted into a circuit court location, to be served from North Battleford. While the office will close, the Court will continue to use the existing courtroom when it sits in the community.
The change strengthens the Court’s capacity in the mid-western area of the province by centralizing judicial resources, which allows for a shared workload and streamlined scheduling, and improves the Court’s ability to respond to community needs and to decide cases in a timely manner.
