The Honourable Lua Gibb has been appointed a judge of the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. Judge Gibb received her law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2005 and articled with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice and Attorney General. Judge Gibb is a member of Onion Lake First Nation and an intergenerational residential school survivor.
She has spent time as a prosecutor and crown counsel, and as an advocate with Saskatchewan Advocate for Children and Youth. She also served as a faculty member at the National School for Prosecutors, providing training on the impact of Canada’s residential school system on the criminal justice system.
