The Honourable Michael D. Tochor has been appointed as the first Associate Chief Justice of the Court of Kings Bench for Saskatchewan.
The appointment was announced by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on November 9, 2023. Tochor was first appointed as a judge of the Court of Kings Bench in 2018. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Associate Chief Justice Tochor was a partner in the Regina Litigation Group of MLT Aikins LLP. He earned a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan and was called to the bar in 1984. In 2004, he was awarded King’s Counsel designation.
ACJ Tochor was sworn-in as Associate Chief Justice on January 11, 2024.
