Maskeko-sakahikanihk: 100 Years for a Saskatchewan First Nation, by M.E. Turpel-Lafond was nominated for a Saskatchewan Book Award in the First Peoples publishing category.

This is not the first time a Provincial Court Judge has been nominated for a Saskatchewan Book Award. In 2002, Canoeing the Churchill: A Practical Guide to the Historical Voyageur Highway, by Judge S. I. Robinson and Greg Marchildon (Canadian Plains Research Center) was nominated and won in the Scholarly Writing category.
