Madam Justice Jacelyn Ryan-Froslie

Justice Jacelyn A. Ryan-Froslie was appointed to the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan in 2013. She earned a B.A. with a major in Political Science (1976) and an LL.B (1977) from the University of Saskatchewan. She was admitted to the Bar in 1978 and received a Queen’s Counsel appointment in 1999. Justice Ryan-Froslie had a civil litigation practice with Anderson Nimegeers Law Firm (later Anderson & Company) in Swift Current from 1977 until her appointment to the Court of Queen’s Bench (Family Law Division) in 2000. She became a Deputy Judge of the Supreme Court of Yukon in 2009. While in practice, Justice Ryan-Froslie served as the vice-chair of the Saskatchewan Police Commission, was a local governor of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers’ Association, and served as an instructor at the Bar Admission Course.
